Upper Deck let me down
After all the positive comments I have made about UD customer service they have let me down. Today, after about a month and a half they refused to replace about 30 cards and returned them. These were cards accumulated over time and many that had been replaced once or twice before. They only replace cards 8 months from the date of issue, not date of purchase. So, much of the Upper Deck product currently on the shelves may not be eligible for replacement. A warning or "one last replacement" would have been nice.
I am getting fed up with the high prices, searched packs, poor quality control and horrible customer service. This is supposed to be fun, not a major headache.
Like many others I am thinking about getting out completely.

did you ever think you are not worthy enough to them because you didn`t spend $300+ on a box of their ripoff stuff?
I have already gotten out of buying boxes/packs about a year ago. I`ve come to the conclusion that ALL card companies simply rip everyone off with their junk. They over charge for recycled paperboard. We can`t even be guaranteed that auto`s and GU`d jerseys are even real(ie: that Ruth auto that was purchased for $80,000 and turned out to be a fake through Upper Deck). I had never imagined that a box of trading cards would ever cost $100.00. It turns out that $100 is now a cheap crap box of cards. Until we all stop buying this junk for $150+ a box, they will continue to rip everyone off.
I`m on a mission of sorts to get these companies to stop and the only way it will happen is if we stop buying this junk. Once their sales start dropping, they will lower their ridiculous prices. Join me in my boycott. :)

The Wall Street Journal reported this morning that Upper Deck has offered to buy out beloved sports card manufacturer Topps for $416 million big ones. ...
Soon UD will be the only company.
I am also waiting on a few cards from Donruss that were shipped on 3/26.

Upper Deck is horrible............hate their prices, hate their stuff. Only buy singles that I want from them from now on.
If I have a box-bust itch I usually go with DLP(they actually care about collectors) and Topps(descent return value on 90% of their boxes)
Seriously though i have left and come back to this hobby a couple times. I am contemplating getting out myself permanently. Sick of lame boxes and the ridiculous money you have to spend to only pull junk GU that you couldnt move for more than a couple bucks. Horrible player selection that companies lately do and overall diluting of the value of most "hits".......
Then the other spectrum is the jerk-offs and theifs around Ebay or other online sources who ruin this hobby with greed and fraud. Annoying traders up at the sites lately who havent a clue about the sport or hobby they're into, expecting me to give up cards ive spent hard-earned dollars on for nothing......screw that.
So between the piss-poor excuse of Companies we buy from and the vultures online and at the hobby/retail stores im pretty well fed up myself.
