Kobe staying put, Welcoming KG? Blockbuster Rumored!
If the Lakers are trying to get Kobe Bryant to change his mind about leaving, they're off to a good start.
The Los Angeles Times cited league sources on Monday saying that the Lakers and Minnesota Timberwolves are in discussions that could bring Kevin Garnett to Los Angeles.
Trade discussions have involved the Lakers, Wolves, Pacers and possibly a fourth team. The report says that the Lakers would get Garnett, while the Pacers would land Los Angeles forward Lamar Odom and center Andrew Bynum. The Wolves would likely acquire a lottery pick and young players. Another team would also have to be involved to make the deal work financially.
Sources told ESPN and ESPN.com that the fourth team at this point is the Celtics, who would get Jermaine O'Neal from the Pacers.

What a joke...Kobe is such a whiner...it's really sad. Can't he man up and "carry his team" like LeBron does? Or did Kobe forget what team play is? Now he needs "his Shaq" back? What a loser.

I find this one hard to swallow. But if the Lakers are to make a move Bynum would have to go after Kobe spoke out about him. So I doubt there'd be any cryin if he was moved. With a trade that big all players would have to wanna go. Garnett & O'Neil especially

what universe are you livin in? The teams hardly have a say in anything anymore. Kobe signed a contract to play for the lakers but is talking about holding out or playing his last year and opting out next. Same with Garnett. The twolves have NO say whatsoever on a KG trade except to turn it down. KG wants to go to the team or he'll cancel it! Remember he has 10 years in the league. Its called a NO Trade Clause Kobe and KG both have it!
