    Question on card grading...

I have about 20 cards that I want to have graded. The cards consist of Bowman Chrome Refractors, BC Autos, Playoff Contender Autos, (a really nice Leaf Certified Tony Scheffler Auto)... Basically, I have two questions--

    1. I've heard mixed opinions regarding the grading of Game Used cards. I was thinking about my Marcedes Lewis GU/AU (triple threads) cards graded. One numbered of 9.. and the other is the black printing plate (jrsy/auto).. Does it make sense to have these graded?

    2. I'm stuck between deciding on having cards graded by PSA or BGS. I think PSA ends up a little higher in value per grade. But I don't recall seeing many PSA graded GU/Auto cards.

Any advice? I certainly want these cards graded becase they all look razor sharp, good centering, great looking cards..

hey, i might be able to help you out b/c i've dealt with both psa and bgs. i myself probably wouldn't grade a g/u by itself, but yours would be fine b/c they have an auto with them. jsy/auto's i'd say are fine to grade, but not single g/u. so i'd say yes it makes sense to have them graded. to your second question i'd go with bgs. they are by far the most thorough and a bgs 9.5 is by far better than a psa 10. i've had psa 10's that i knew if i graded bgs i would of gotten a 9 at least. if you have any doubt's on the condition of your card then go with psa b/c they seem to be easier to get as far as 10's go. i'm also not sure if psa grades thicker cards, but i know bgs does. but remember on those bowman chrome ALWAYS check the surface and the playoff contenders you ALWAYS gotta check the corners. hope this helps.....
