Mailing supplies....... The real cost....
Get this. I went to the Post office today to get certain items weighed to see how much it would cost to send out......Just out of curiosity.. These were not big items but simple,and small items. .......Here are the results.....
1 Single Screw Plastic. $1.83
100 Soft Sleeve Plastics $1.30
10 Tops Loaders $1.67
5x7 4 Screw Plastic $1.98
All of these do not even include the weight of the envelope. That is even more if you use a bubble mailer.

For items like these, it would be better to ship in bulk and use a flat rate box. You'd save a lot of money that way. Unfortunately you don't always sell in bulk though... Shipping is starting to get a little pricey for small items.

yes it is. The price has gone up a lot these last couple of years. The prices will continure to go up as long as computers are around.

On one hand its good for collecting. people might start buying cards at shows and at card shops again cause who wants to buy a 1.00 card on ebay and pay 5.00 for shipping? On the other hand, ebay has killed most card shops and shows, so now where can you buy set needs or common gu of certain teams cause why spend .45 to list a card on ebay that might sell for .99?

It would be nice to see card shows and card shops come back again, but it still does not cover anything happening now. My intentions to find out how much it would cost to ship each one of those items individually because I was goingto give them away. All the people would have had to do is just send me the correct amount of stamps to send. Even then you are better off just buying them wherever it is closest. ........Isn't that funny. try to give things away but yet it still costs the same.LOL

the problem with my card shows are they are primarily the same dealers at each show (2-3 times a month) and they can't turn over stuff fast enough not to have mostly the same cards each time.
I'm heading to one this weekend and I haven't been to any in about 3 months. I'm looking forward to picking up some nice stuff.
