    Tough Lesson?

I think I've discovered that if I want something on here I'm going to have to buy it. Well, at 17, and paying my own car insurance, gas money, etc. I'm way short of competing. I'll have to post stuff for sale to raise some money to pick stuff up. I have a sport star/insert/auto lot and a PS2 Game to sell. If you're REASONABLE on an offer, anything could be yours. I can't sell for less than postage will cost me. And please don't expect $100 in merchandise for $5 unless you'd be willing to SELL that cheap. If you see anything of use to you I'd appreciate you helping out a newbie. Well, here's what I got 4 ya:

Family Guy for PS2 (EB GAMES PAYS $12 AND SELLS $18.99)

WILLIE STARGELL $8 LOT 1 INSERT 2 BASE
KOBE BRYANT $27 BV 10 BASE
PAUL PIERCE $8 BV LOT 4 INSERT 1 BASE
TIM DUNCAN $21 BV LOT 1 RC 1 INSERT 4 BASE
ALLEN IVERSON $25 BV LOT 5 INSERT 3 BASE
DEREK JETER $22 BV LOT 8 BASE
CRAIG BIGGIO $4 BV 2 INSERT
WALTER PAYTON $75 BV 14 INSERTS
    AIKMAN $9BV 2 INSERTS
PEYTON MANNING $30 BV LOT 5 INSERTS 2 BASE
JEFF GORDON $16 BV 5 BASE
HIDEO NOMO $6 BV 2 INSERTS
CAL RIPKEN $27 BV 8 BASE
JOHN UNITAS $13 BV 1 BASE 1 INSERT
LARRY BIRD TTM AUTO $35? VALUE
RYAN MILLER 06 BEEHIVE AUTO $20 BV
THOMAS DAVIS 05 NFL DEBUT INK AUTO BV $10
RICH HARDEN TOPPS TOTAL RC BV?
ADAM WAINWRIGHT STADIUM DRAFT PICK RC BV?
DAN JOHNSON TOPPS TOTAL RC BV?
MICHAEL TURNER FLEER RED RC BV?
RONNY CEDENO SP PROSPECTS RC BV?

Welcome to SCF. It is tough to get rollin when you are new. But, I would keep a more positive tone if you want to get some trades done. I could trade for your Turner rc. what is the exact description and card number. I think it books for $4. Gotta start somewhere :)
LMK what you think and best of luck to you.

az: If I spend every penny I have mailing out low $ trades I'm worse off than I was. I've noticed it's always easier for the guy in the castle to look out at the guy in the ditch and tell him to "stay positive." I guess most guys never heard "Walk a mile (in my shoes)."

FOR: Thanks for the offer. I really do think though that as more than one member has told me in PMs, "Money talks around here." Well, isn't that the truth everywhere? If I can raise a measly sum on here, I can buy hundreds of $ of good cards here in town, since this smalltown Joe at the card shop doesn't buy SQUAT. Then, I'll be more on the level of some of these other traders. I have another thread where I'm asking like 3% of BV for a whole slew of stuff to get me started.

Patience is pretty tough for a young kid. If you're not my age, think back 10, 20, 100 or however many years ago to when you were a kid. Did you have a job since you were 14 and buy all your own clothes, your car, pay insurance, buy gas, etc.? I could sell dope like a lot of kids my age, or freeload off my parents, but I know doing things the right (and most times tougher) way will pay off in the end when those other kids are working for ME or in prison or dead.

It's a super nice shape. I played it for like 2 days straight without sleeping and my mom confiscated it. I just found it when we moved, and I have to get rid of it before she finds out. I paid $59.99 of my own money (like everything else I own) for it, and I guess it would just depend on what we can work out what I'd want for it. If I pick out a list of POSSIBLE trade items, would you propose a trade from that list?

I have way too many cards that arent listed. Do you have any favorite teams or players and I can start from there?

I'd be willing to look at just what is listed, if that's not too much of a problem.
