How do you scan your cards?

I'm having trouble getting good color. My reds are orange and it just doesn't look good overall. It's an HP PSC2610 printer/scanner/copier/fax that was decently expensive, but I'm at a loss here.

I use my JVC Hard Disk Camcorder/Camera- Pictures are pretty decent

I use my $30 Visioner One Touch 7100 USB scanner I got from Office Max and it works great !

Are you trying to scan regular cards or refractor/chrome/finest type stuff?

I have a scanner but I don't like it. I use a digital camera with a white index card as the background and they turn out pretty good.

Does it happen everytime you try to scan something?

Have you tried to check the options and see if you can change the settings?

I don't know much about the machine you have but it should work.

Good luck. If you are ever looking for a nice camera to take pictures of cards with I would recommend an Olympus Camedia (I have a D-560 but it is probably 5 years old at least. I ONLY use it for cards though, I think the flash is wacky with it so it isn't too great with regular pictures w/flash).

Perhaps its your monitor that needs to be adjusted...but that would mean every image (and not just your scans) shows lots of orange/very little red. Sometimes you can adjust a setting to get higher quality scans...check your Scan Mode, Object Type, Brightness, & Contrast settings.
