Rate my Fantasy Football Team (please)

    Hello Everyone,

One of the leagues I am in had the Draft tonight. I had the #5/6 pick (alternated).

My first pick was Automated, I might have chosen differently if I had the chance.

I have a few good QBs stocked so maybe I can trade one of them at some point. I picked up Calvin Johnson (even though he isn't signed yet) because at that point in the draft there weren't many receivers who I wanted. Also I know I drafted my Kicker early but the Colts should put up alot of points so I should be solid in that position.

    LMK

    Thank you,
    Mike

Reggie at 15 is pretty good, and you've got the QB position pretty sorted with Brees (though I think you went way too high on Vince - he's a good player but he doesn't have a whole lot of help). I think Furrey will have a pretty good year still even though he has Williams and Johnson to compete for catches with. I think a kicker in the 8th round is WAYYYYY too high, but that's just me :P.

Since you have Leinart as well, I'd try to offload Vince to try to maybe boost your WRs!

I won't comment on your IDPs at all because they're so unpredictable anyway!

the main problem i see is taking vince in the 5th when you already had a top QB in brees. i would have gotten a solid WR there instead of a backup to brees.

There weren't any decent WRs left LOL.

I am telling you, the RB and WR got cleaned out in the first 2/3 rounds.

There might have been a few decent guys but nobody I really wanted.

I am happy now that Calvin Johnson got signed, and since he is getting so much money I am sure he is going to come out and prove himself.

I really wish my first pick wasn't automated. I probably would have taken Clinton Portis there instead. He was my starter last year and he was pretty solid until he messed his shoulder up. Parker was my Backup last year and also did pretty good.

This is the first league I have been in where you select individual Defensive players.

    Wish me luck LOL.

    Thanks
    Mike

And I took Vince Young because I think he MIGHT have a solid second season. He did win ROY last year remember?

What about Reggie Bush? Will he get over 1000 yards rushing this year?

I see Reggie splitting time with deuce like this: Deuce in goal line situations and third down and reggie in every situation that could develop into a big play. With that in mind I would count on reggie having higher rushing totals with less touchdowns and deuce having higher touchdown totals with lower rushing totals. So, if you get points for yardage then reggie was a good pick.

Shockey is a bit overrated. There would have been plenty tight ends that put up simalar numbers available it later rounds.

Honesly, you have some good players but you probably could have done a whole lot better. Your kicker in the 8th round is way too early. You can get a good kicker in the last round or during the season. Somebody always comes out of nowhere to be one of the scoring leaders(gould last year, rackers the year before).

Also, taking the philly defense in the 9th is also way too early. If you dont get the top 2(balt or chi) then the rest are all a crap shoot. Check previous year pt totals. A good majority of them are bunched up.

I also don't like taking a back up QB that early. Get your starters settled first, then go for a back up.

Those picks should have been used for WR's since youa are weak there.

Try and trade Vince Young for a good WR.

    Good Luck!
