2006 Bowman Originals Group Box Break......

Feeling inspired by the very successful Premier breaks on this board, and the up and coming Sterling breaks, I have decided I will try and host a group box break of my own, but this time with Bowman Originals. Here is the breakdown for the box:

6 packs per box, 7 cards per pack
Look for (2) Autographed, Player-touched Repurchased Cards per pack!! Find (1) Card Hand-Numbered to 25 or less per 8-box case!!
Also look for Bowman Originals Prospect cards featuring 55 non-Major League Prospects and framed Printing Plates and 1 of 1 Parallels of the entire base set.
Find (1) Box Loader Scouting Report/Checklist in every box.
Key Rookies: Hanley Ramirez, Jonathan Papelbon, Conor Jackson, Ryan Garko, Justin Verlander, Francisco Liriano, Kenji Johjima, Craig Hansen, Prince Fielder, Josh Barfield, Fausto Carmona.
Bowman Originals features repurchased original Bowman, Bowman Chrome, and Bowman Heritage cards from 1993 to the present of all the biggest names, with the player signature. The cards are hand-numbered, encased, and inserted at a rate of (2) per pack.
    Product Highlights:
Base Set - 55 Cards (2 per pack)
    - 55 top veterans and Rookies
Insert Cards - (2 per pack)
    - Bowman Originals Prospects
Parallel Cards - (1 per pack)
    - One of One Red
    - Black (#'d to 99)
    - Blue

With that being said, I would need 6 people who are willing to sign up for the break. That would mean everyone would get exactly two autos and a bunch of prospect and parallel cards.

I am in no way ready to start setting up the break unless I receive a lot of interest in this. I am merely just trying to see if something like this could be done with bowman originals. I have been thinking about pricing and I think I can get a box for about $210 dlvd. That would mean pick prices would go something like this:

    1st pick - $65
    2nd pick -$55
    3rd pick - $45
    4th pick - $35
    5th pick - $25
    6th pick - $15

thats a total of $240, but the extra $30 would be used to take care of paypal fees and shipping of all the cards.

So let me know what you think, and if you have any ideas please let me know as I think a Bowman Originals box break would be fun. Plus there is always a chance of hitting something big like a Wang, Gordon, Howard, or Pujols auto with the first pick, you never know.

    Thanks!

    -John

PS- Here is an excellent break of this product courtesy of youtube:

sounds good abcdefg, I will hold the #1 pick for you if this goes through. I was looking for the #5 pick for myself, so if we can get 4 more people who are interested, we can get this show on the road......

just 1 question...how would it work? would you pick a pack after it's opened? like the top pick would get the pack that they believe has the best auto(s), second would get the pack with the second best, and so fourth?

I was thinking it would work like how the Premier breaks work, where the number 1 pick gets to pick the #1 card they like (most likely the most expensive one), and then it goes to number 2, and so on, and then after the first 6 picks have ended, we start at number 1 again.

everyone gets 2 autos in the end, and about 5 Rc's/base/parallels. So a total of 7 cards in all.

Tell me if that doesn't make any sense, and I will try and explain it again/better. Thanks!

    -John

PS- I am always open to ideas as to how the break would work, so if you have any suggestions, please share with me.

yeah, while they wont be the most exciting/expensive of all the autos, you still cant beat that for that price.

So it seems as though we have 3 people (including myself) interested in the break. If I get 5-7 more posts of interest I will start an official thread for the break. Come on guys!
