Being Canadian....
...it was really a shock to see so many players step out of the shadows of the NFL to play in other leagues this year, such as the great Walter Payton's son playing in the CFL. And equalily great to see players like Cassey Printers throwing for the Kansas City Chiefs. It was a true shock to see the rules of the CFL change to take the path and not let Ricky Williams play another year for the Argo's due to his convictions of drug related charges that flatlined his career in Miami. But my question is are these players using other leagues as a proving grounds before they step into the NFL? And secondly does it make them a more of a "all around" player?
