Buying boxes on ebay
I was just wondering what your guys opinion on this is because Im not the kind of kid who just brings in money like nothing but I really want to pick up a box. I think I want to get donruss threads because the lettermans are a nice hit. If I did get a box off of ebay will it have most likely been searched or can I feel safe that it wasnt?

A lot of times, individual boxes that you find on the Bay are boxes from a case after the case hits have been found and the seller is trying to recoup some of the cost of the case. If buying a box, I would read the seller's feedback just to see if there's anything in there as well as see how long they have been active on the Bay.
Also, I'm doing a case break on here for boxes of Donruss Threads if you are interested...

Alot of dealers on ebay do just as enigma said or they just plain search the boxes. Alot of them are smarter than others and have seperate accounts selling singles. I would pay the extra money to buy from a trusted online dealer any day of the week before resorting to ebay. Enigma, along with myself are both wax dealers with many references. IMHO you should participate in Enigma's case break. It GAURANTEES your box comes unsearched from a sealed case and at 90 DLVD that is a GREAT price.

To give another opinion, I have had some good experiences buying boxes from eBay. There are pros and cons, good experiences and bad. A lot of times you can find boxes on eBay much cheaper than at a hobby shop, sometimes not though. I always buy from sellers who are hobby shop owners or have at least 1,000 feedback w/98% or higher. A lot of times hobby shop owners will sell some of their boxes on eBay, which means you could by a box from them at the store for one price, or the same exact box from the same exact person on eBay for $5, $10, or more cheaper on eBay. I definitely wouldn't buy a box, especially of a higher end product, from a seller with low feedback or questionable feedback...not worth the risk. Anything that even remotely looks shady, ambiguous, or just questionable, I avoid at all costs. If a deal looks too good to be true, it is.

I've had great experiences buying boxes on ebay. I haven't recieved any searched boxes or anything. There's been some great pulls also. Just make sure the seller has good feedback. If you want to be sure that a box is not searched or anything, just go to your local hobby shop and pay the few extra bucks. Or you could just buy from enigma. I've found him to be very trustworthy also.
