    Augh! Tv Died!

So last night the woman and I were watching some random rom-com and then POOF! TV went to a thin white horizontal line. I checked on the internet and the problem is called vertical collapse. Its basically that the TV cannot stretch the image vertically anymore and it costs about $300 to fix. Hell.

Depending on the size and type of tv you can get a replacement tube tv between 25-40 inches for that amount. If you have and LCD/Plasma tv then I guess you're gonna have to get it repaired.

No, its a CRT. I guess the real question is, however, is it even worth fixing or should I buy a new one?

dont think those are that expensive these days....just saw a 42 inch a few weeks ago for $399.....if you have the means, i would HIGHLY recommend investing in a nice TV. some of the best money ive ever spent (im not a $$ kind of guy - cheap car, moderate house, etc - but man am i glad i splurged on the tv!!).
