    this day started out great!

well, as my mom was driving me to school today, i noticed that there was nobody in the school and there were no cars parked in the parking lot. so, i went to find out what was going on and i found out that there was no power in the school from a big storm we had yesterday, so we got a day off school! :)

No back-up generators at your school? My High School has at least one (I think) so I can never remember a day where power outages were an issue.

And on a completely irrelevant note, my school was built for 1200 students, and now has 1900 students

as we drove by, i thought i saw some of the hallway lights on in the school, i guess there must not have been enough power to light the whole school (just a guess)?
