Somebody's getting ripped off
Ok at Walmart you can buy a pack of Donruss threads for $2. A hobby box of threads is like $90, and has 24 packs in it. So $2x24=$48 for the same amount of cards at walmart. So tell me who is getting ripped off: Us the consumer, Donruss the card manufacturer or walmart. Now I know that a box of cards gives you a way better chance of pulling something good but you could buy twice the cards at walmart as you could from getting a hobby box. So are walmarts cards different? Do they not have as good of odds as something from a better dealer? Yes they were 2007 Donruss Threads.

1) The RCs are different between retail and hobby. Different card stock.
2) There are retail-only parallels and possibly GUs.
3) The chance at hitting a GU or AU are much less in Donruss retail packs. 1:24 at /best/ and more likely 1:48 or even 1:96.
4) If you just want the base set, then yeah buy retail. If you want guarantees, get hobby.

I see, that is kinda what I figured. So are the cards totally different or are they the same with just more base cards throughout them. Like if I got a Brady Quinn RC at Walmart or if I got a Brady Quinn RC from hobby box, would they both be worth the same?

They would be worth the same. But the reason the Wal-Mart cards are cheaper is because the chances of getting a Game-Used or Autograph are much less.
for example, your chances of getting a Brady Quinn RC could be (I'm making a number up here) 1:500 packs from a "Hobby Box," yet your odds of getting one from a retail box would be 1:1000.
Therefore, you would have to buy twice as many cards from Wal-Mart in order to get a shot at a good card.
