    Pack/Brand Suggestion

Hey guys, I wanted to broaden my horizons in the hobby and include football. I'm looking to start off with a few packs and then moves to boxes when i familiarize myself with the products. What are a few brands that are decent on a pack by pack basis and what are some good box suggestions.

I'm mainly looking for packs that average $5-7 and boxes under $100.

Not looking for anything specific to start out, obviously GU/Autos but I think Prospects will be a key thing too.

I posted a similar thread in basketball if you can help me out.

    Thanks, Andy

Score Select is always a nice looking card.
No GU, but some autos (not sure on the odds)
Packs are $4.50 per; at my local shop
Topps Chrome (when released) is another nice card.
Again, they focus on autos vice GU.
Same with Bowman Chrome (when released).

My favorite $5-7 packs are Donruss products...mainly Threads and Classic, some Elite. They have good value...best chance to pull good GU/Autos/RCs for a decent price per pack or box. Threads boxes guarantee 4 Auto or GUs per box. I just bought a box and got an Amobi Okoye RC Gold Auto #/100 (BV $50-60) and a Rookie Collection Triple GU of Calvin Johnson/Dwayne Bowe/Anthony Gonzalez (BV $40-$50)...pretty good box. Plus nice base cards, good sets to collect, several insert sets and parallels. Only downside from what you've said, you only average 2 RCs/box...they're #'d and worth more, but hard to collect. You can find boxes for $70-$90, give or take a little. In my esteemed estimation, best bang for your buck at a reasonable price.
