Byron Leftwich to be cut!
How quickly things change! Byron Leftwich will be traded or cut soon. David Garrard is the new starter for the Jags.

Yep, saw that too. Although I dont know why they wouldnt keep him as insurance for Garrard, but oh well. Id take him on the Vikings, but doubt itll happen with Holcomb being acquired a little ways back!

As a Jaguars fan, this comes as a complete and utter shock. I didn't see this coming from a mile away! I've been a Leftwich supporter through his entire tenure in Jacksonville, but I guess it's time to rally the troops behind Garrard.

I would say you cut ties with Leftwich for several reason.
First, it is best for the team. As JayJagfan said, it lets the team focus on Garrard and no QB controversy.
Second, This frees up salary cap space.
