Unlike you I did not play for them but yes I agree it was a good day. Matt Turk has one heck of a leg. I also understand the problems the team they played are having. I take that into consideration and I decided to wait until next week before I get my hopes up. KC has a very depleted team and the Texans were favored to win.
On another note, Mario has more TDs than Bush has.

I do not think that one game will kill LJ's value. Now if he can not do anything all year then you will have a problem getting rid of his cards. I have a feeling he will be fine and still a nice pull at the end of the year. Claiming superiority or throwing in the towel should wait until at least week 5. If LJ is still having trouble it may be time to cry about not selling his rookie card sooner.

Each of the last 2 seasons I thought the Texans would be the surprise team. Maybe I was off a year. I still think Carr got a bum deal, he's MUCH better than Schaub IMO.

i dont see any way for him to have a year similar to his previous 2... KC is easily one of the worst offenses in the league and teams are gonna start stacking the line until they have a passer who's effective. Im dumping his spx rc now - however if im wrong, ill be eating my words... and probably losing 30 bucks or so.
and MarkForce - i totally agree about Carr.

I really thought the same thing. Schaub is much more calm in the pocket and does not have the nervous feet that Carr had. I defended Carr the whole time he was here but after watching Schaub in the pocket and seeing him perform both yesterday and during pre-season I believe he is a better team leader. I bet Atlanta wishes they still had him.
If Carr was so good I believe he would have caused a QB controversy in Carolina. He did what he did in Houston though. He had one good game and three bad games. He had 5 years to prove himself in Houston and he was paid well. The only quarterback I have seen that has had a longer chance to prove himself was Michael Vick. He at least made the playoffs a few times.
If you look at all the QB's drafted in 2002 you will see that he had the longest chance. Joey Harrington has been on 3 teams and still has not panned out. Ramsey never has done anything and I can not think of anyone else. Other than athletic ability he has shown very little. Having the tools and being able to use them are two different things.
Time will tell if they made a mistake. I believe myself that they gave him a year to prove himself. They passed up on Vince Young even with all the pressure they received and when he failed last year they had no choice other than to go in another direction. If you watch all the games last year you would have noticed that Sage looked better than Carr when he played.

Davey

Week two and they are still undefeated. Carolina was a popular pick to go to the SB. The real test will be next week. If they look good against Indianapolis then I will begin to believe.
