Why are we all here?

No, this is not an existential of why we are all alive :)

I was just sitting here pondering why I am on this site.

I, for one, love to collect autographs. I do enjoy watching everyone's box breaks, etc. I love wen someone gets mojo but I also, think to myself, "wow, I got him in person. My item is truly a 1/1". I have Schmidt x2, Fergie (not the singer) x6, Reggie, Carter x3, Glavine x2, Piazza x2, Sandberg, Verlander x10, Pudge x2, Milledge x4, Yogi x3, Giambi x11, Hughes x15, Wang x8 (Taiwanese and English), Matsui x3, Jeter x3 (including SS ball), ARod x2, Clemens, x3, Pujols x2, Reyes x3, Cabrera x5, Beckett, x4, Unit, Mariano, Maddux x2, Chipper x2, Howard x2, Gretzky x2, Crosby x5, Ovechkin x2, Shaq x3, Dwight Howard x10, Wade, Nicklaus x3, Palmer x4, Singh x2, and I could go on ad infinitum. I am kind of doing this also to brag :) I am stoked every time I think of when I met these people and got them to sign standing thisclose to me.

To me, the people I have met are big time examples of mojo. But, my items have ZERO value here as they are not certified. I really would love to enhance my collection with other autos. I traded 3 certified here from 4 cuts because 3 are deceased HOFers. When else can I get a chance to get a Sisler, Sewell, and Lloyd Waner. I just improved my "collection" by 4 and I gave up guys of which I have multiple autographs. I guess this is why I am here... to collect autographs.

Hey Stephen!! I Am Here Cause I Love the Hobby.. Not to Make Money or Get Rich off of it... This Site is the Best on The Net & I Don't Just Say That Cause I'm Staff.. LOL Since I have Been here I've Met SOOO Many Great People & We Have All Helped Each other Out on Our Own Collections.. That's What The Card Hobby is Truly About.. I am here for the exact reasons that have already been mentioned.

1) I love this hobby with a passion!
2) I enjoy trading, buying, selling, and collecting!
3) I like sports (mainly football and basketball).

I'm here because cards have been my life since I was eight years old and the internet is a more efficient card-collecting resource/community than going to shows once a week.

Yeah same ol' thing...love collecting...love sports...yada yada yada.

But I have to add that I'm addicted to busting packs and boxes. I got out of collecting for several years, but I would still buy a pack every now and then just cuz I wanted to see what I would get. And now that I'm back into it, I'm more addicted than ever.

Also, the only person in real life that I can talk to about trading is my older brother, so I like to share/chat w/other collectors as well. Plus I don't always like the way my brother collects, so it's good to get away from that every now and then too.
