UD Redemption Question
Hey guys. I just opened a box of '06 SP Authentic, and got a redemption card for a Jose Reyes By The Letter Autograph. I went to redeem it online, and it said that the card wasn't produced, and to contact Upper Deck for further instructions. Does anyone have any experience or advice about what to do in this situation?

I beg to differ. Upper Deck was recently extremely helpful with me via e-mail, and replaced a card with a card of higher value. If my experience is anything like yours will be, you'll probably get a card of equal or better value. Problem is, they'll send you older redmeption cards that have expired, as they can't send out redemption cards that are still unexpired.
They are sending me a Mark Prior Sweet Spot card that is higher valued than the Chirography I redeemed, along with some nice filler cards that my cust. service guy said I would like. I assume they are Cubs cards, because we discussed the Cubs and how we were both Cub fans. He even gave me advice on how to get playoff tickets.
Upper Deck was extremely helpful with my problem, personally.

Thanks for the response. I guess this is sort of what I was looking for. I've heard stories like this, about people who haven't been able to redeem a card, and essentially wanted to know peoples' experiences with what they talked about with Upper Deck. I've heard that Upper Deck basically asks what other players you'd like, and if they can, they'll try to send you something from those players. I'm just wondering what people have talked about with the Upper Deck reps. Thanks for all the responses everyone.

Don't get your hopes up too high though.
Upper Deck usually does not come through on good replacements. Too many stories from people who get jipped on redemptions.
But hopefully you'll be one of the lucky ones.

All I can tell you is to bend over and brace yourself because you are going to get screwed hard! I turned in a redemption for a Derek Jeter/Jose Reyes/Hanley Ramirez Triple Auto #/15 from 06 Sp Authentic last February and just yesterday I received a Jeter GU/Auto #/350 from 07 Elements and a Pujols GU from 05 Sp Authentic. That's it. In no way is that even close to being what UD calls "comparable". Good luck.

I also think you need to be open on what you want. You can't just say, yeah, all I want for my replacements is it to be these players:
Albert Pujols
Derek Jeter
Roger Clemens
With that kind of list, you probably aren't going to get an equal amount.
