I will say this, the reason I got pissed at them was because I redeemed an 05 Reflections Ryan Howard/Dallas McPherson dual auto, and it said it was in stock online, then sent me an email saying they sent that exact card to me, and they sent me a Jim Thome 03 Chirography and a Scott Rolen 99 Chirography. I was pissed, but upon emailing them they explained why it was sent to me, and when I complained about the other card I redeemed they helped me out more than I thought. They were friendly.
My suggestion, after getting screwed on the replacements (even though they did come out to larger value, yet spread over two cards), is to call and redeem. I would assume they would tell you over the phone if they have it or not, and if they don't, you can let them know what you would prefer. If you do it online, they said their redemption system is kind of buggy and sometimes gives improper status messages.
I got good service, but it stemmed from a screw job, but in the end I was satisfied with their customer service. If I ever have to redeem an older card that's still not expired, I'll likely call and avoid the internet
