Don Imus Close To Deal for Return To Airwaves
I thought it was interesting that Don Imus will be back on the airwaves so soon.
Less than six months after his long-running radio program was terminated in an uproar over a racial remark, the sharp-tongued host has come to financial terms with one of the nation's top broadcasting companies.
A source familiar with the situation, who asked not to be identified because of the sensitivity of the negotiations, said the contractual details would likely be finalized within a week. Although the deal, which would pay Imus millions of dollars, might hit a last-minute snag, the Imus team is confident that he will be back on the air around Dec. 1.

that,s good news,i mean he never should have said what he did but why oh why does everything have to get blown out of proportion.i used to live in new york and listen to him quite often, most of his shows were provacative and funny at the same time.i now live in mississippi and what was really funny is the remark he got fired for is the name of a barber shop here. it,s called nappy kutz with an artists painting of an african american, hope i,m being politically correct here don,t want to offend anyone with a really out of control afro, nobody here raises a stink over it so i guess if the owner is an african american you can name your shop whatever you please.
