As the proud father of a famed hockey family, Henry Staal has only one regret - that he didn't play in the NHL.

"By the time I was five years old, I wanted to play for the Toronto Maple Leafs," Staal said in a Tuesday conference call. "That was my goal in life. I just loved to play. If I had some talent, I would have tried to go as far as I could with it. But you have to be able to play the game at a certain level and I was never at that level."

That's certainly not the case with his sons - Eric is a member of the Carolina Hurricanes, Marc plies his trade with the New York Rangers, and Jordan is a Pittsburgh Penguin. And, youngest son Jared, currently a member of the Ontario Hockey League's Sudbury Wolves, is expected to make it a quartet in the big league in the near future. With the exception of Marc, who lines up at defence, the Staals are all forwards.
