Is Marques Colston for real?
Marques Colston reminds me of Anquin Boldin a few years back with his bust out rookie season.
Is this kid for real? Any major Marques Colston collectors here?

how many great games in a row does he need to prove himself? just cause he's from a small school made him overlooked. he is slower than most receivers, but his size helps alot. plus, in fantasy football he qualifies at TE too so he's been invaluble to me there.

The thing we need to watch with Colston is injuries. He was injured multiple times while at Hofstra. That fact along with the small school thing is what dropped him to third to last in the draft. I'd like to see this kid succeed. He has the right kind of quarterback to get him the ball and it's pretty obvious that Brees loves throwing it to him.

let's see, there was another reciever from a small school drafted a little over 20 yrs ago that people didn't think would make a major impact due to being too slow...Jerry Rice ring a bell?

He's for real and he has many GMs and head coaches scratching their heads I'm sure. Probably even has some teams restaffing their scouting area.

He is for real...He is a top 10 WR in the NFL right now in my opinion...His speed/size/route running/lack of dropped balls is compareable to tops in all catergories...
Agree with JenningsRoy in the fact teams need to be checking their scouting departments.

What does this mean for Joe Horn then? Retirement? Trade? I don't think he will be happy to take the #2 WR spot.

If Joe Horn acts like the Joe Horn og the past then he'll probably ask for a trade. Colston seems to be the total package. He is a good possesion receiver as well as a good deep threat. Horn's looks have decreased dramatically with the rise of Colston. Although, with more teams wanting to double cover Colston I think Horn should take the initiative and and get open as he is likely to get man to man or zone coverage with all the attention on Colston.

Colston has a good shot at ROY. Leading in TD's, Receiving yards, and receptions. Plus he has been Rookie of the week twice, Week 8 & 9 and offensive rookie of the Month, October. I guess the real question is, "Can he give a sustained performance year in and year out?"
