Talking around children
I did something i thought i would never do today..
i went to ask my wife about when we were getting our Xmas tree and our 6 yr old was standing there. so I said to my wife. "When are we getting that thing that the two mooses were guessing while playing eye-spy?" Now my wife, who never gets these things for some reason. automatically knew it was from the Disney movie Brother Bear, and i was refering to the Xmas Tree. My bout with Cooldom is officially over, i will never again be that guy i always thought i was when i was young and single. As hard as i tried to fight it and keep some shred of my cool guy singleness, its all gone forever. I am now a full fledged parent and can never return to what i once was.
just me sharing random thoughts. hope some identify,

Ok.. i am trying really really hard not to think about that one. Ive already got my " Your Honor, I didnt mean to kill the boy" speech ready for when she starts dating.

If I was to ever have a Daughter (Not likely, snipped) I would have bought a Shotgun. I don't care what the wife says (I would hide it). Then at age 4 I would enroll her into a Martial Arts class and make sure she knew how to defend herself. I did also enroll my son into the classes and after 1 and half years he wanted to quit, we let him. The instructors were tools
, all they cared about was the $$$$. Done Sharing. :)

Brendan... you sir are a gem!!! Sorry to say... you have lost it and have officially entered the Parent Zone! You can never be allowed back to the Cool Age!!! Sorry buddy... guess you'll have to suffer along with the rest of us.
My grandaughter will be pure HECK when she gets older!!! She is a true jewel... but she's gonna be a terror when she's older, lol.
The one thing I promised myslef was that I would never say to any of my children: "Someday, I hope you have kids just like yourself". I can sit back now and watch my oldest and think... WOW... it's true, but I never said it!!! LOL
And just think buddy... you have another on the way!

When my son was born, my mom told me she was going to wish that on me but she loved me to much.....

I survived raising 2 daughters alone for many years due to abuse from my ex. then when I met my better half I think my daughters did everything to test him, now both of my daughters are grown, they love my husband as if he was their father and they both have a 2 year old baby, 12 days apart, my oldest daughter and her baby, my grandson are in Germany, my youngest daughter and grand daughter live right around the corner, if I could survive teenage girl years anyone can, of course I did have a few occasions of wanting to kill teenage boys, lol.
Get a Camara, take a picture, profile, straight on and back picture of the boy she goes out with, get a picture of his car and license plate, and ask for his driver's licence and photograph it, that scares the crap out of any boy, say if anything happens to your daughter you have his picture his license plate #, a copy of his license, and a gun, you will use it to your advantage, lol, worked for me, lol
