What was your first ever big pull from a pack?
what was your first big pull from a pack of cards, what was it worth then, and what is it worth now?
For example; My first big pull from a pack was a Wayne Gretzky Elite from a pack of Donruss, back then it was booked at $80 now it is only booked at $ 20
So lets hear your first big pulls, from all sports, not just hockey

My first big hit from a pack of cards was a Rusty Wallace auto I pulled from a pack of Upper Deck cards when they did racing...At the time I pulled it the bv was $60 and the last time I checked the bv was down to $20..
Last year I got a box of 2005-06 Fleer Ultra hockey and I pulled an Ovechkin Gold Medallion rookie that booked for $250..I also pulled a Kasey Kahne auto from a blaster box last year that the bv was $120...
Thanks EdI only trade by Beckett price guide, not eBay comp or SV, TV..I also do not collect any Panini or Donruss Baseball products..

my first big pull was in 1998 I pulled a Randy Moss and Ryan Leaf Ultra Rookies as back to back cards out of the same pack. They later booked for $60 and $80...Sold them both for $80 wayyyyyy back.
Now the Leaf books for 5, and the Moss for 20, amazing how base rookies and inserts from the mid to late 90s have fallen.

it used to be every time I went into the local hobby store, and bought a box, I wouldn't pull squat, but when I went to Kmart, or walmart, and bought some packs I would always pull something good, like an auto, patch card etc, then I found out the local hobby store was opening the boxes and taking out the good cards and re-sealing the packs, it's amazing how they are still in buisness after being arrested so many times for that :(
