    Top 10 Gruesome Sport Injuries

SI has a list of the Top 10 Gruesome sport injuries. I will post the top 5 and you can go to SI for the other 5.

WARNING: GRAPHIC INJURIES!!! Don't watch then complain that this is graphic!

    1. Redskins QB Joe Theismann : This is the granddaddy of gruesome sports injuries. Lawrence Taylor's reaction is unforgettable.

    2. Alabama WR Tyrone Prothro : The interesting thing about this clip is that the cameraman actually shoots a close-up of Prothro's leg. One thing you'll notice in most of the following clips is that the announcers usually tell the cameramen to turn away.

    3. Dodgers pitcher Kaz Ishii : This isn't as nasty as when Red Sox pitcher Bryce Florie got hit with a liner, but it will still make you cringe. Make sure you stay with the clip and watch the "demonstration" that takes place afterward.

    4. Villanova guard Allen Ray : This is just nasty. While it's on my list, I don't recommend watching it.

    5. Sabres goalie Clint Malarchuk : This is probably the worst injury, but luckily you can't see it. There's a collision and then some blood. But that's more than enough. The announcers' reactions are a must-listen.

    See all ten on SI.

    Mike,
Some blood that guys is leaking blood. That ain't no flesh wound LOL. I mean there is two nice piles of it and that all you see LORD knows how much more poured out. OUCH OUCH.

P.S. Just think if your parents, wife, or your kid was watching. That would be a tramatic experience big time.

I recall the Theisman injury all too well. The cameras captured it so that all you could do was be fascinated and do a major cringe at the same time.

You could easily have the entire top 10 consist of skateboarders and the like. I saw one guy on a mountain bike try to do something while coming to a cement wall, screwed up, and smashed his face on the wall. He must've broken all his front teeth... I counted about 10-12 teeth on the ground. Nasty, nasty.
