Is it a "sports card" if there is no players picture?
I have noticed more and more that the card companies are producing cards without the players picture on it. For example, this card is a piece of card board with some left over signatures on it.

And this one is a piece of jersey with an autograph on it.

Is it just me or are these very nice "pretender" sports cards? I think the Young card is much closer to a "sports card" but that first card is annoying and looks cheap. Some great autos on a plain piece of cardboard!

Mike,
Guess it goes with people collecting just autograph TTM as a lot of them do not include sport cards. So to me it one of those things do what TICKLES YOUR FANCY. It not your cup of tea but I do agree that it nice to have a picture of some sort. Kind of hard to include a picture on that G (auto) NAMESAKE card but I can show ya some with a small headshot on stuff like that.
WOULD THAT FIT THE BILL TO BE A SPORT CARD???

Too me, if it doesn't have a Pic of the player/players, or at least some replication of the player/players, then it isn't condsidered a real card, it's just like sending and receiving a TTM auto on a plain white postcard.
