Miami Fans not happy with 1st pick

Miami fans were not happy. I guess they wanted Brady Quinn.

LOL!!! I love it...another fan base that absolutely hates their 1st pick in the draft. In the top video, the guy in the front row who throws his arms up then drops to the ground...that was me when I heard, with the 36th pick in the NFL Draft the Philadelphia Eagles select QB Kevin Kolb from the University of Houston...Wait they said Cornerback right? wait what...QB!!!! Then I dropped...a guy in the 2nd round (our 1st pick) who wont even play for 3-4 years...Makes sense to me!

The thing I dont get with the dolphins and the 2nd video...did he once mention Ginn at WR? or what he can do at WR? Or did they take Ginn in the 1st round solely as a Return Specialist?

You never know as Ginn might bring something to that team. Beck might be a good QB but with him already being 26 years old the Dolphins probably shouldn't keep him on the sidelines for too many years. I'm not really sold on them using an early 1st round pick for a player that essentially may be nothing more than a kick returner but what the heck.

    Profootballtalk.com reports:

THE TRADE THAT CHANGED THE DRAFT?
As the Miami Dolphins try their darnedest to get the media (and, thus, the fans) to forgive the franchise for its failure to draft Brady Quinn, one of the more common themes is the notion that taking Ted Ginn at No. 9 was not a reach, notwithstanding his still-busted wheel.
In support of this claim, the Fins claim that, if they had not taken Ginn at No. 9, the Texans would have pounced on him at No. 10. Adam Schefter of NFL Network says the same thing.
If that's true, we wonder what would have happened if the Texans had not moved from No. 8 to No. 10 as part of the trade for quarterback Matt Schaub.
If the Texans had stayed put, maybe they would have taken Ginn. If so, who would the Fins have selected at No. 9? Apparently, not Quinn. But they also likely would not have drafted defensive end Jamaal Anderson, which means that the Falcons still would have gotten the same guy at No. 10 that they got at No. 8.
So, as far as round one goes, the Schaub trade helped the Fins nail Ginn, kept the Texans from getting him, and left the Falcons will the same player they would have taken anyway -- but they will now pay him more money at the higher slot.
Unless the Fins would have taken defensive tackle Amobi Okoye in round one, Okoye would have been the biggest loser if the trade hadn't happened, since he would have been picked at a spot lower than No. 10, where he was selected by the Texans.
And the fact that the Falcons passed on Okoye is ironic. First, it turns out that they could use Okoye, given the "boating accident" in which starter Rod Coleman was recently involved and the fractured relationship between the Falcons and Grady Jackson, who sued the team earlier this year for invasion of privacy and defamation. Then there's Coleman's likely replacement, Johnathan Babineaux. In the story regarding Babineaux's likely elevation on the depth chart, Len Pasquarelli of ESPN.com fails to mention that Babineaux is facing felony animal abuse charges.
Second, Okoye played for new Falcons coach Bobby Petrino at Louisville. The fact that Atlanta passed on Okoye is telling, in our view. Petrino knows Okoye better than any other NFL coach, and Petrino didn't take him.

If I remember Ginn is about 5'11 and 175 lbs. Reminds me of an Eric Metcalf.

    Two things to note.

Why are people so hyped up on Brady Quinn. I am just being a realist here as how do we know how BRADY QUINN will fare. For every quarterback that is a success you can name about 4 that fell off the turnip truck. Leaf, Smith, McGwire, Harrington, Couch, with some having more success than others but none being a Long Time Savior of a Franchise. I don't think Quinn will be that but his fate will be decided

Now for QB of the future remember to stay away from the Agent that represented not only BRady quinn (FELL 19 spots below his 3rd spot) LOL. As he had the same agent as a guy named Matt Leinart that also fell mightly on Draft Day.

My question here is did the AGENT do a good job marketing him to the Teams, Franchises, etc. as I mean nobody wanted a qb after almost 20 picks. Just a FYI any qb's should steer clear of that agent as it looks much like the Madden Curse if your a QB and represented by him.

to top it all off he wont see the field till july at the earliest which means he will miss all the rookie minicamps

Dolphins first-round pick Ted Ginn Jr.'s foot injury is a Lisfranc sprain and will need to be immobilized next week.
However, Ginn wasn't in a protective boot Thursday as ESPN reported, and Miami's medical staff believes he'll be fine by July. But Ginn, who is entering the pros as a raw route runner, will have missed quite a bit of work by then and faces an uphill climb to take Marty Booker's starting job.

Well since the dolphins got rid of Marcus Vick they had to take Ginn! LOL
True Quinn could go either way, but like they said at the draft wouldn't you want a guy that can possibly shoulder the load of being in Marino's shadow?
Plus there team would have a face that isn't on defense(Taylor/Thomas)

Has anyone heard the status of Ricky Williams?
