I collect Expired Redemption cards of Barry Bonds myself... the reason why is they are rarer and harder to find that the actual card that came back from the redemption. I consider the redemption card a Barry Bonds item. This is why i collect them. I am unsure the intent of minew, but I am sure it is notto screw over fellow collectors. If the cards JUST expired within the past 6 months, then you may be able to still redeem them. But if they are 3-4 years old, there is no way you can.
These are just my thoughts... collect what you want... if you do not agree with what someone collects, so be it... why question it?

i beg to differ. a member on the beckett boards pulled redemptions from 2000 ud p&p for auto/jsys of griffey jr and another player. he wrote a letter to ud to voice his displeasure and low and behold he received a 2000 ud p&p cal ripken jr auto/jsy. if you go about it the right way, card companies will usually come through for you.

Very true. Jeff was awfully persistent and it paid off for him. Beats the 5 packs of UD MVP that he originally got!

the reason i questioned was because there good for nothing like my shaq redemption, it's useless and if somebody wants to trade for it that's ok with me. i just didn't want them feeling like i ripped them off. and if you do send it in and for some reason they honor it good for you.

I think it would be more of a hassle to acutually try to get them to redeem it then anything else. It would take a lot of time and effort and most companies I don't believe would honor it. It says right on the back of most of them that if they aren't postmarked by the date on the back that they will be disgarded.

the point everyone is making is that, some people can get lucky and still get them redeemed even years afteer the expiration date, what's the cost in doing so? there are no risks involvd...it's either a rejection or a brand new card in return.....
you were missing the point.

Pulled a 2000-01 Fleer Greats of The Game Vince Carter Auto S #XX/98 Redemption Card Expired like two years ago. Just sent it in and got it back like three months later. Fleer's policy is if they still have the card in stock they will redeem it and probably give you something else if they dont have that exact card. The best thing to do is just to call and ask them they are friendly people.

Do not know about other companies, have not gotten that far. I think the most important thing is that everybody involved in trading can make informed and trusting decisions. Happy holidays and trading to all and thanks for listning to me ramble about my story.
