NFL draft changes
NFL owners will meet in Nashville on Tuesday to award the 2011 Super Bowl , & talk about shortening the 15 minutes allowed for each first round
draft choice. 2nd round times may also be shortened.
But NFL Spokesman Greg Aiello said no decision is expected in Nashville.
The NFL 's competition comittee has been studying the issue since last months draft. the first round lasted a record 6 hours 8 minutes.
There also is speculation that the draft could be moved from New York city
on a rotating basis. the first round could wind up as a Friday night primetime event televised on the NFL network & ESPN

I don't like this idea. They give the teams the right amount of time to try to conduct trades and decide which player they want to go with. If they shortened it we would see a lot less trades during the draft. They should move the first round to friday night and continue the 2-4 rounds on saturday and 5-7 on sunday.

Matt : thats a better idea than changing the pick time. It makes better sense & would be a primetime goldmine for sponsors.

if they did it that way to they should figure out a way to get it on fox or cbs because the majority of people just wanna see the first round.

Fox would be my vote. Can you just see Bradshaw & Howie going at it in the 08 draft over why the projected 3rd overall pick fell to 18. That would be hilarious!!!
