Democrats Drop Troop Pullout Dates From Iraq Bill

So much for the Democrats plan. They will be removing the timetable from the new bill. You can call Bush a lame duck President and take him of the "100 mos influential" people in the world, but the fact is that no bill becomes a law without his signature or 66 Senators overturning vetoes. Think he has influence Time Magazine?

So Bush wins? We continue to lose men, sectarian violence continues with no end in sight, the attacks on American troops and American facilities are becoming more pronounced, the government can neither protect its people nor improve their lives, corruption and incompetence reign throughout the country, and we are destined to be there for years to come. I believe it's called a pyrrhic victory.

I am not saying Bush wins per say. What I am saying is it is foolish to try to micromanage the war from Washington and that is what the Democrats were doing.

Iraq is not in great shape, but it also is not the doom and gloom picture you paint it to be.

Which of my points would you argue with?
