Boycotting UD this year??
I have been looking around at some of the box breaks lately of 07 Artifacts and I have seen about 90% junk! The base cards are ugly as hell too IMO
Some of the autos and Gu I have seen coming out of it are really bad. UD keeps making it harder to buy their product with the junk they stuff in the boxes.
2007 SPX looks really sweet though, but guess what? the price is going way up per pack/box! Maybe they can redeem themselves later this year with SPx and SPA, but the new stuff looks like crap.
What do you guys think?

Yeah not so much to diss UD, but I've already thought to myself to go Topps/Bowman products, you get the bang for your buck. More consistent products.

All I can say about Artifacts is at least they have Kirk Morrison!

Yeah don't worry. Upper Deck has been boy cotted by me for years. I still buy them sometimes but most of the time I stay away.

That may be a bit harder to do when they complete the Topps purchase.

I buy whatever I can afford.

why boycott it for only this year?
honestly, I don't really see why anyone busts wax unless you just look at it as entertainment or the lottery.

It looks like I will be joining the boycott because of their horrible customer service.
These guys are not going to change anything until they feel it in the wallet.
On my thread about customer service issues several people responded with stories similar to my own.

the customer service horror stories only make it worse. They are stuffing boxes with crap and sometimes not even getting close to their guaranteed hits per box and then not doing anything about it.

Since I got back into collecting recently I've bought a lot of single cards and it just doesn't meet the enjoyment of opening boxes and packs, only when you get a card for a price that you feel is a steal does it really fill the void of enjoyment. There is a rush you get when you don't know what you're getting. Unless of course you get screwed on the product you buy. I'm also moving away from most game used, gone is the rush of pulling one of those, unless it's a player I really like. The value of it has dropped off immensely too. I mean in the end it's just a piece of fabric. This hobby was built on just regular cards and rookie cards and autographs will never go out of style. Star players are the only game used with significant value now, unless it's a card in your player collection which we hold in higher value than others. It's better to just get Bowman-Toppslow to mid range products cause you get value for a smaller price tag.
