Atlanta Hawks to update uniforms

ATLANTA (AP) -- The Atlanta Hawks went back to their most successful past when looking for a new look for their future.
It didn't matter that the team's most successful past came before it was based in Atlanta.
The Hawks are moving away from their red, yellow and black home uniforms and predominantly red road uniforms of the past 12 years to adopt a new look for the 2007-08 season.
The new road uniform includes a blue background with white lettering, red trim and silver striping, similar to what the 1958 St. Louis Hawks wore when winning the only NBA championship in the franchise's history.
The home uniform will feature a blue, red and silver color scheme, similar to what the Hawks wore when the team moved to Atlanta in 1968.
The new color schemes will be shown off in public when the Hawks introduce their two first-round draft picks on Thursday.
