Huge Basketball Trade Rumor
Just heard this on espn.....
4 team trade where
Lakers get:Kevin Garnett
Pacers get:Odom, Bynum
Celitics:Jermaine O'Neal
Wolves: 5th pick(via boston) and Al Jefferson
And garnett says if this deal goes through he is going to talk to kobe to convince him to stay
This way Minesota will deal with boston and Garnett will go to a contender
so both sides are happy

That would be interesting to see KG and Kobe play together. However, I thought the Lakers said they were NOT going to move Bynum?

Well, the Lakers better trade Bynum, or else Kobe will remain angry, and they will be years away from contention again.

it sounds like that if this is going to happen this is what the trade is going to be.
Wolves Get:
Odom
Bynum
Kawmie
19th pick in draft
Lakers get:
Garnett
Troy Hudson
GOSH I HOPE THIS DEAL GOES DOWN.

It is looking more like Phoenix will be Garnett's next home. He seems more interested in going there than L.A.
Would a Garnett for Marion and Barbosa trade work under the status quo?

it sounds like kerr is saying that it will almost be impossible to get garnetts contract to work with phoenix. i think the suns would have to give more up then just those two. and the suns dont want to pay luxury tax.

I don't think the Suns should trade Barbosa. His trade value might be high right now, but we need Barbosa to help carry the load at PG with Nash. The Suns need to keep the main core of the team (Nash, Stoudemire, Marion, Barbosa, Diaw, and Bell) togehter, and just improve our bench. I think the Suns should get a Center, so that if Amare gets injured/suspended/etc, we will have someone to back Kurt Thomas up. In Game 5 or 6 of the physical Suns vs. Spurs Series (when Amare was suspended) in the 07 NBA Playoffs, Kurt Thomas had to play nearly the whole game, because we didn't have anyone to replace him, except Pat Burke, and let's just say Pat Burke isn't that great. Lol.
