    My first surf!

    After 5 years in Hawaii (with a 1 year break in Korea) I finally decided to get out and surf.

    I got up at 6 AM on a Saturday, which is so unlike me! I picked up my aunt who is in town doing an internship/grant for her masters.

    We rented boards for $20 for 2 hours each.

    We were down in Waikiki and the waves we no higher than 3 feet. Basically, it was "kiddy" surfing, but perfect for me. I caught about 7 good waves, wiped out twice and caught 2 good surfs riding about 100 feet each. Not bad for my first surf!

    Sounds like fun! But I think I'd be too afraid to actually try.
