Lindsay Lohan gets 1 day!
Must be nice to be rich and famous. I am sure if I had my second DUI and was found with cocaine in my car the Air Force would just give me a day. The reality is I would lose my career and spend 1 year in jail at a minimum. Nice to be privileged in America.
Lindsay Lohan reached a plea deal Thursday on misdemeanor drunken driving and cocaine charges that calls for her to spend one day in jail, serve 10 days of community service and complete a drug treatment program.
She was also placed on 36 months probation, is required to complete an 18-month alcohol education program, pay hundreds of dollars in fines and must complete a three-day county coroner program in which she'll visit a morgue and talk to victims of drunken drivers.

I guess it will be longer than the 4 minutes Nicole Richie spent in jail. This had got to stop. A guy could go to Iraq, serve his country and if he did any of these crimes he would be treated like a criminal. You you are a drug using driver with a suspended license it is fine as long as you have cash. Nice message we send to the kids!
Nicole Richie was released from jail Thursday after serving 82 minutes of a four-day sentence for driving under the influence of drugs.
The reality show star, who checked into a women's jail at 3:15 p.m., was released at 4:37 p.m. "based on her sentence and federal guidelines," Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy Maribel Rizo said without elaborating.
Under a federal court mandate to manage jail overcrowding, arrestees sentenced to 30 days or less for a nonviolent offense are usually released within 12 hours, the sheriff's department said in a statement.
Under the guidelines, Richie was "treated in the same manner as other inmates with a similar sentence," the statement said.
Richie, 25, was originally sentenced to 96 hours in jail, but that was reduced to 90 hours because of time served when she was arrested.
Richie arrived at jail with her attorney Shawn Chapman Holley and her boyfriend, Good Charlotte singer Joel Madden. Her time at the Century Regional Detention Facility was spent getting booked, including taking a mugshot and submitting her fingerprints, Holley said.
She didn't reach her jail cell.

You thinks things will change. Well it won't change until the Judges that hand out the sentences decide to play hard ball. Of course then you know what the media will have a field day with it. Of course the public will be like great as we will say "FINALLY". Of course the press will get that small minority that says "They are being to hard on whoever that star is". Just the truth of course if you have money, a good lawyer, your going to get some major breaks.

Wow. A whole day! That's terrible. *rolls eyes* Like Ash said .. She's really going to learn her lesson. Who cares if you're famous.. if you do something wrong you should be treated like everyone else.
