Looking for some ebay selling advice?

Well as some know i have several nice Steven Jackson auto rookie cards...they are selling over book value...so the question is...do i sell now at that value and go off of his hype...or...do i wait for a month till his book values go up...and hope his sell values follow...

Reason Im asking I sold early on LJ and Im afraid of pulling the trigger too soon...or not pulling it soon enough...whats others think?

I am not in need of money, but Im trying to sell at the ideal time...So do I wait for the season to begin...sell with the huge hype...or what do you think?

I'd wait but you're taking a risk either way. You could sell now and get over book and risk losing out on more money later or you could wait and lose money if he gets hurt.

It's a no brainer Sean. If they are selling over book dump them now! It takes 2-3 months for bv to raise even if he starts out incredible. Plus just because his bv increases doesn't mean people will continue to pay over bv for them!!!!

Sell now. It is like a stock. The value is already priced into him having a monster year. It is not going to go up even if he has a 1,600 yard rushing season. The only way it goes up any more is if he has a LT type season from last year, which will NOT happen. You have very little to gain and a lot to lose if he gets injured or has an off season.

Thanks guys, as Jeff says...ya you could win or lose either way...I think ultimatly its safer now...Im gonna make sooo much of these few cards its ridiculous...I prob bought my 5 better ones (SPA, Contenders, SPGU, SPx, Playoff Hidden Gems) for $500 give or take...less then 2 yrs ago...or so..and I should get close to if not more then 1500...as you guys refer to the stock market...as much as some hate this...this is one of the HUGE reasons I collect...to find the guys who will take off...and Ive done sooooo well its addicting...

my struggle is...i sold LJs when he was going for over book value...and actually waited a month for the BVs to go up...they did...and I sold them for very high...but if I woulda waited for another month I woulda got another couple hundred...

similar to what Mike said and some other guys I trust in this hobby...hype seems to hold more value then numbers...he has to break a record to go completly insane..he may go up $50-$100 in bvs but will he have the surge LJ had...probly not because LJ was priced as a backup RB and then turned into the man and a top 5 RB...so Sjack probably will go up...but will his sell values follow...i dont know...

I think Im posting the Rookie Autos on Friday...and I will hold the parrallel autos and insert autos as they arent selling for as much and see how things go and if he takes off I got them to unload.

In case anyone wants to see

    Holding onto for now

Very nice cards! What you need is a healthy Kevin Jones! Maybe just hold off on the Jackson/Jones dual autos to see what happens with his foot.
