Upper Deck Exquisite Gold Boxes hit Ebay again
What is your opinion on the Upper Deck Exquisite Gold boxes? If you didn't know, Upper Deck produced a limited edition of their Exquisite product numbered to 25. Each card in the box is numbered 1/1. Here is a 2006 <a href="https://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-1751-2978-71/1?AID=5463217&PID=2205365&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fcgi.eb ay.com%2Fws%2FeBayISAPI.dll%3FViewItem%26item%3D15 0156353903">Exquisite Football GOLD box</a>. These boxes had a $25,000 BIN, but apparently never sold. Here is another <a href="https://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-1751-2978-71/1?AID=5463217&PID=2205365&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fcgi.eb ay.com%2Fws%2FeBayISAPI.dll%3FViewItem%26item%3D15 0156353903">Exquisite Football GOLD box</a>. So, that is 2 of the 25 box lot. Both at around $4,000.

not sure but the links are to the same auction. not sure if thats what was intended.
i belive it is a good idea from ud but if anybody saw they did a live break on becket where the person paid 17,000$ for the first one on ebay and pulled a 1/1 jersey card of a rookie cant remember his name and it was just a pure white swatch. the base was of favre and the major hit was corry dillon and ronny brown dual nfl shied auto. if i remember correctly he sold everything and got back less then 10,000$. my numbers may be off since this was back in january or febuary. also these 25 were supposed to be hand packed by upper deck managment and that box definetly was not that exciting.
now my over all opinion is that if i had bought a box of excuiste and found that it was one of the gold boxes i would open it and not resell it. i belive that that is what ud managment had intended for regular collectors to open these but the card industry has turned so much into an investment industry like stocks and bonds that people only care about what they can sell stuff for and not the joy of collecting.
i know thats a pretty broad statement but its just how i feel
