Contest Ideas
I would like to Run Many contests this year to attract more Members here and hopefully have them stay.
I would like to Here what you have for Ideas, A couple Ideas have already happened and look to be doing Great so Far.
So let me know what you have and lets get these Ideas Going, I would like input from all of the Hockey Staff

How about a Trade Off?
we would have to work out the details we would need all staff's input on this one as we would have to find a way to keep track of all trades for say a 1 month period and would also have to make the prize something nice for the winner this i think would get the Hockey boards more active.
I have some doubts about this one as it would require alot of work to get going but thought i put it out there plmk all your thoughts.
1.Would we keep it only in the Hockey forum?
2.Would members need to register?
3.Prize?
4.Contest length
5.Would it work?

After thinking about this a bit i think it could work members would have to register and in order for us to keep track of the trade count the members would have to send a (mod) cliff :) a link to all there trades made with in the contest time period.
Giving cliff or another staff member the oppertunity to check the trade date and if (keeping it hockey) we would be able to see if the trade was hockey related.
Any Thoughts??

Bill , Keep em coming - I think this would work but i would like the Other Hockey staff to give there ideas on it , I want us all to be involved in any Contest Ideas we have.
Anyone else have any Ideas , or Comments on this Contest.

it would be nice if we could bust some hockey product for giveaways. i know mike is working on this, but if we could get some new stuff to give away, that will really draw interest.
i just don't see a lot of buzz in here. maybe we could have a current hockey news forum where we just post news from the league, injuries, trade rumors, etc.

Dave , that is exactly what i was thinking about with the Hockey forum News and was waiting for someone to Post it.
Would someone like to Take the Duty of Doing this? It Doesn't have to be much , but i think it would help out the Hockey Section. Some ideas to put in would be who's hot and who's not. Trades/Rumors.
LMK if anyone would be willing to take this on as i would like to start this ASAP.

i might be able to work on that. i was thinking of maybe a few things...
news - just a place to post injuries, hot & not, etc.
trade rumors - this will be important when the trade deadline approaches. i don't have access to espn insider, so i'm not sure where to get rumors.
fantasy - all things fantasy hockey related
then i was thinking each section could have a more personal touch...
fav teams - maybe a forum/section where folks can talk/celebrate/moan about their favorite teams and maybe get some healthy trash talk going...
fantasy - a place for advice on your fantasy teams
that's all i've got for now. i'm not sure if we're talking two forums (one for news, one for personal) or just all in one.
any ideas/input?

Dave i like everything that you mentioned , i think it would be great - Now i just need to see if We will be allowed more Forums.

I can help with the injury part, I run a hockey pool and am already keeping track of injuries throughout the league...
