New Laptop: Keyboard Problems!!!
I just bought a HP Pavilion, and I'm already having issues with it. It is a HP Pavilion DV6000 with a 120 GB Hard Drive & 2 GB RAM.
This is the VERY annoying problem... When I type these letters, this is what shows up...
p: po
r: rw or re
w: wi
q: qe
There may be a few other letters that are messing up, but those are the ones I remember. I checked to see if number lock, caps lock, scroll lock, and all that stuff was turned on, but it wasn't. If you've had any similar issues with a new laptop, or you know what is wrong with mine, please let me know.
Thanks!

I bought an Acer laptop in August. So far it's been really good! I talked to some people on a NASCAR board I was on about what brands are good and stuff like that. They told me to stay away from HP. They had a lot of problems with them.
I would try taking it back to the store you bought it from and see if anyone there knows what's wrong/can fix it. If not, I'd call HP and see if they can do something about it or possibly replace it.

They should exchange it? Where did you buy it?

I bought it off of ubid.com. I am probably going to send it in to HP, if I can't get the problem fixed myself in the next day.
Thanks for the responses and help Shayne1911 & Steven.

Have you checked your setting for your keyboard? You can also call HP.

ill bet that it has to do with the sensors underneath the keys. they are probably connected somehow or just stuck togeter. i have had keys come off of laptops before and underneath, the sensors are VERY sensitive to any touch. i dont know how to go about fixing this, but am almost positive that this is your problem. the sensors underneath could also be arranged in an odd manor and therefore 2 letters come up instead of just the 1.
