Condition Question - High end ARod

    Hello,

I recently traded for an ARod 94 Sportflic Starflics card. I sold it on ebay, and the buyer came back saying that the card was mint, other than there being "tiger lines" in the background of the card.. these are different than the raised bumps that are on all sflics cards. they look to be behind the top layer, and do look to be a little like moisture had gotten behind the top layer at one pt, although i dont know. I had never heard of this defect, so i didnt raise it when i traded for the card originally. Is this a real defect? it is not visible unless it is held up to the light. Does anyone know about this? is it on all sportflics cards?

Well let me ask you several questions:

    1) Did you list the card with a scan?
    2) Did you list the condition of the card at all?
    3) How did the member pay for the auction (paypal, check, m.o., etc.)?

As for the condition I never heard it but I do have sportflics that have been sitting in certain areas that might get moisture from time to time over 20 years of being stored. I not checked them.

The best thing in my opinion is to try to protect your reputation and treat the guy like you would want to be treated. As when your on one side of the fence you will be on his side and should not complain when it happens to you. As you did not take care of it when you were on the other side of the fence.

p.s. I know this might not help but if your a new seller on the BAY it stinks to have a valid Negative on your profile. Hope, someone can answer your question on the Moisture etc.

These cards seem to be rather erratic in terms of "Condition" especially with how the pic looks from various angles.

I have looked through some of the sportsflics I have and see various things, some unique to individual cards.

Hopefully someone will have dealt with this specific issue.
I'm also trying to locate more on this.

if i had to venture a guess, id say that the paper under the "groovy bumps" on those sportsflics cards got "warped" or "disfigured" somehow....because of the way those "groovy bumps" reflect the picture behind, any little defect underneath them will show up when tilted to reflect light

really just something you will have to work out with the buyer....you dont have the card now, right?
