Since April of last year I've sent NPN's out for 24 different products and have received 8 back. The 8 I've received have had a BV of about the price of a padded envelope. Each year of the last 5 years has gotten worse. Topps is now doing the about same thing that UD has been doing except the NPNs you do received are bottom of the rung inserts.
Yes, I'm about done playing this game, and I've been at it heavilly since 1997.

That's my feeling, too. The companies don't guarantee that you'll get a great, high bv card or even a semi-decent one. But I wouldn't be surprised if a few people still phoned/emailed/snail mailed the companies to complain about the NPNs they've received.

It is nice to see someone agree with me. Like that guy a few posts ago...24 stamps equels like what 7 to 8 bucks. That is the cost of maybe 1 to 2 hobby packs. If you are not willing and you get mad that they only send you a few things then i fell very sorry for you.

Well for better or for worse, I got a couple back today:
2007 Finest Rookie Moments Refractor DW David Wright
2007 Finest Rookie Moments Refractor HM Hideki Matsui

I haven't sent out any NPNs since 2004, I remember getting some good stuff back then, but has it really deteriorated? Regardless, I really enjoy it for the variety... I would gladly pay $10 for a grabbag of inserts from a variety of sets.

I believe the NPN situation has deteriorated thanks to:

less card manufacturers = less card sets = less NPN offers

And if UD does acquire Topps, then there will probably be even less NPN cards received.

    Topps NPN Recieved today

(EDIT by SingleDaddyof2: Merged scottkoz20's "Topps NPN Recieved today" thread with SCF's long-running "NPNs Received" thread (what you're reading now, lol). All NPN cards received should be posted in this thread. Thanks! )

To my surprize today, I got mail from Topps NPN. I was a bit shocked that I got something... anyhow, i opened the package to see what was inside... and I found this small brown envelope inside of the protective mailer.

I this point I'm expecting something halfway decent, right....

    HAHAHAHAHA

I got a David Wright Generation Now card. ONE

    Thanks Topps, I guess!

    sorry for the rant...

Nice one, Andy! Today I received the Shaq card from that set:

    2006-07 Topps Triple Threads 29 Shaquille O'Neal #'094/899

Even though it is #'d, its a Triple Threads base card, correct?
