Well this is rather interesting--20 of our 32 participants predicted that the Boston Red Sox will win the World Series.

So the Red Sox win the World Series in four games...congrats to the Red Sox!!

Twenty of our 32 SCF members who participated in this contest predicted the Red Sox would win the World Series--yet none of them predicted Mike Lowell to win the World Series MVP award (that was Tiebreaker #1). So after using the first tiebreaker, there is a 20-way tie.

Tiebreaker #2: # of World Series games played
Would you believe that of the 20 SCF members who predicted the Red Sox to win, none of them predicted the Red Sox to win in four games. So, at this point, we still have a 20-way tie.

Tiebreaker #3: # of total runs scored in the final World Series game
The final score was 4-3 for a total of 7 runs...elnuch, uptonfan1, DawgFight24, just-for-cards, gosoxx777 all correctly predicted 7 runs--that makes it a 5-way tie.

Tiebreaker #4: # of total hits in the final World Series game
