Picked my first player to collect...Good pick?

Marshawn Lynch was my choice. Guy is an amazing athlete and runner IMO and should be fun to collect and invest in. I have never collected a specific player before thoroughly in my many years on and off of collecting...is it a good pick or no? Why or why not? Thanks for the help.

You will have competition for his stuff but still a good player to collect. Might get expensive though.

How do most of you choose who you want to collect? I see a lot of lesser names out there [which is just as good of choice as a bigger name player, if not better]? I know some of it is just liking the player, being on the home team or whatever, growing up with them but I see a lot of players that i'm interested how people choose.

Would love to hear how you chose Aiken, Lawson, and Weinke Enigma.

Sam Aiken - Saw him play in high school. Boy could he lay out people....why UNC put him on offense is beyond me...great special teamer at Buffalo now...

Manny Lawson - Went to high school in my hometown area. Played at NC State (Fave college) and plays for the 49ers (fave pro team)...

Chris Weinke - Wife's fave player and it's her collection...

Also, another nice thing about those players is they don't have a super amount of cards out there...so it's nice knowing I own like 70% of the Aiken cards...
