    This movie has been released under the radar. I heard about this kid who gave up all his money to take an adventure around the US and eventually starve to death. He wrote a diary up until his death.

    Read the book by John Krakauer...really good read, came out several years ago.

    Krakauer is a great writer all around, check out Under the Banner of Heaven and Into Thin Air too.
