Awesome man! Looks like its in pretty good condition too. Now my question would be, is the sealed rack pack, with the Payton bottom viewable, more valuable in the sealed rack pack, or taken out?

By the way, I fixed your title for ya :)

So is that 49 cents on it your asking price or the book price? I'll take it either way.....

    Totally kidding- very nice find!

honestly, id open that particular pack and get it graded immediately!!

unless the card is on the top/bottom of the rack pack, it wont conjure the value for the payton (i wouldn't think)

Hey Heatseaker, this is Icanttpye from the beckett boards.

I have to agree with the follow up person that went on my comment. I do think you should consider selling instead of grading. You can say it came right from a rack pack to a top loader. I do think SOMEBODY((not you)) searched those packs by thuming through the cards sadly. They thought the same thing you did. Keep it in the wrapper and it won't get damaged.

prophet- i understand what your saying but seriously why would someone search, find this card and leave it sealed. i know on the bottom it looks mint...actually it looks real damn sweet....ive been offered 200 and 250 so far on the beckett boards any thoughts on what it might bring me on the bay sealed in the pack?

graded packs go for $175.....graded paytons go for $500 (in the condition that card will be in)....trust me, having that card in the middle of the pack doesn't do much for the value of the pack....the money in older sealed racks are in displayed cards (front or back)

if the card looks centered, and the corners look crisp (you should be able to gauge both), i wouldn't think twice about getting the payton graded (if you are just looking for profit).....man, the last psa 9 payton went for $580....i dont see how you could have a chance at that just selling the pack

just my 2 cents, but have 20+ years in the hobby!!

    good luck reguardless......real nice find!!
