Why is it??????

Why is it that it takes a great tragedy like 9-11 to bring out the true spirit of America, and why is it that about 90% of everybody has forgotten it already?

It took the 9-11 tragedy for this country to realize just how far we have forgotten what true liberty is al about. We seen so much displays of patriotism afterwards I remember driving anyplace and 75% of the vehicles would have flags flopping in the wind. 90% of houses would have a flag flying outside. Government was in tune with each other, no in fighting, Democrat againest Republican, it was all for one and one for all.

Know days your lucky to see a flag flying outside a house, the Government is at odds within itself, he said, she said, your to blame, bureacratic BS all around. People have forgotten again the price that has been paid for our freedom. They take it all for granted and truly believe that we are invincible to otuside attacks again.

I just finished watching the movie 'World Tradecenter' again for the upteen time, it still bring tears to my eyes, and then to have to think about the way this country is beginning to act again just makes one wonder what people really believe in. The Corporate world has risen to the top again, the government does what the Corporate world tells them to do, and we go on taking the blunt of whats left.

I guess it will take another tradgedy for the rest to get it. We need to bring back the patriotism, the sense of freedom of what this great nation was founded upon, what all our forefathers died for in preserving.

God bless all those that have perished and for all that do serve now to protect the freedom that we do enjoy so much. And above all God Bless this great nation that we do live in.

Well said Mike. It always takes a tragedy for anyone to realize how important we all are as a nation. No matter what we do or where we live. Sorry it's a very sore subject with me too.

Well your alot more patriotic than we are :(.Our government has gone over the top, because they are worried about upsetting immigrants. In work places public places etc english flags aren't allowed to be shown. The only time we are patriotic is when there is a sporting event on and usually it ends up in a scrap!
