    First football game

Yep I went to my first pro football game this past Sunday. I have been to quite a few baseball games, one in Fenway in 1972 and the rest in Oakland. Let me tell you the story.

My wife is a die hard Saints fan. She always thinks they will do better than my Pats but she always owes me money at the end of the season. Well she was looking at the schedule and noticed they were playing at San Francisco. Well an engineer that I work with has season tickets for the 49ers. Why I don't know but anyways. So I threatened him with a lot of work if he didn't give them up. It must have worked because he gave me two. LOL

It was one of her best days. At the start of the game she says "You aren't going to watch the game are you?" "Yes I am", I said while I was trying to catch the score of the Pats. "All you are going to do is watch the cheerleaders!!" "No I am looking for the score." "Well I don't care just don't bug me." So I didn't. What a great wife. The best is when we were walking out and she turned around and looked at me and said "Thanks". Heck she didn't say that when our son was born. I know, I know all that pain. Whatever.

It wouldn't have been the two teams I would have gone to see but it was interesting -- definitely different than baseball. It was not like my first pro baseball game at Fenway!!

In the end it was a long day. She felt bad we didn't take our three year old (we would not have made the whole game), her team won and she got to see it in person, she took over 100 pictures, my Pats won big time, my Red Sox won two innings after I walked in the door (I will be in my room, leave me alone while I watch the Red Sox win the World Series with my son!!), I won the football pool, I got to watch a LOT of scores . But most of all my wife was happy. It would have been pure ---- if they lost before our three hour drive home!!

Very cool story!! I've always like going to a few LA Rams games each season at the Coliseum back when they were still in LA. Very exciting games! Thanks for sharing!

The best parts were not even part of the game. We are on the freeway when I tell my wife that a guy is getting of a pickup, about six cars in front of us, and is going to the freeway railing. I was thinking the same thing because I had to go real bad but he started doing something I was not planning. He had some projectile vomitting happening!! As we got closer, mind you we were moving two feet per minute, he was still standing there and the truck had pulled off the road. He started again. This guy must have eaten a horse because there was a lot coming out.

So obviously we are talking about when next thing we know they are right behind us. Needless to say I was cracking up because they guy looked like crap. About two minutes into the game one guy is on his cell phone telling someone else, who is another part of the stadium, that "Joe" is sound asleep. Well "Joe" stayed asleep for the whole game!! It was too funny.

Yes we did have fun and I just thought it should be shared amongst my friends. Oh and by the way I won $70 in the football pool.
