I had mine out over the summer..hated it. I didnt have much pain at first just my whole face on the right side swelled REALLY bad..I was fine about a week later until they took the stitches out..thats when it was pretty painful. They gave me some medicine but I cant remember what it was..helped the pain a lot, but made me sleep. lol Hopefully you'll start feelin better!

That really sucks.. I haven't had mine out yet. Last time I went to the orthodontist, he told me I should have them out around Christmas time. I think I'll wait until AFTER Christmas!!! lol After what Ashley has told me about it and how much it hurts, I'm afraid to get them out! I hope your's feels better!!

Bill , the dentist pulled the tooth while it was infected. Every Dentist i have ever gone to said they would not pull a tooth until the infection was gone. And they gave me a prescription to take care of it. I am guessing the reason why they shouldn't is that it could infect the rest of your Gum and Jaw Bone.

Let me know what the bottle says and I will let you know what they are I'm a nurse thanks
Tylenol 3 is just codeine with Tylenol in it if you have an infection then he should have given you an antibiotic if you have an infection? It would take most of that pain away plus Tylenol 3's are pretty weak as for the 500 mg that was probably vicoden 5/50 which has 500 mg of Tylenol plus the vicoden they also come in 7/750 and 10/1000

hope you dont get dry socket... hurts like a b**** and it seems to never go away... i got dry socket on one of my wisdom teeth and it hurt for probably a week and a half... the rest were fine next day though. I have also heard not to pull a tooth while infected. You may want to call another office and see what they have to say

OMG, it just brings back the pain just reading this... I feel for ya brother! When I got mine done they just took 2 out, and it was my birthday!! Quite the frickin day I tell ya... Thats one birthday Ill never forget.
As for that pain, I know it hurt for a day or two... But from what I remember I was back at work within the next day or so. You better not be smokin either! Thats what really messes it all up. Just make sure you keep it clean, and give it another day or so... If it dont get better by the end of the week, your gonna have to go back in to get it looked at. It should be clearin up, and on the way out by now.
