PayPal help
I need your help! I am trying to add my bank to my PayPal account but no matter what I try nothing works. I get an error saying the bank info is wrong. I made a visit to my bank today and we concluded it's not the info I'm entering, am I missing something?
Currently, I can make payments through PayPal to people I buy from on ebay, but I have never sold anything (never received money through PayPal) so I'm assuming I have to be "verified" to receive money? So I try to add my bank and it won't let me. Can someone provide me with a number I can call to talk with PayPal?
Also, once I get this figured out, how long does it for me to receive a payment from someone? Is it instant?
Thanks in advance

once you get your bank account added, it takes several days (they will deposit 2 small amounts in your bank account, and you need to verify those ammounts - think it was like 7 and 10 cents)....so it does take a few days till you can start using your bank account with your paypal....as far as the number, i know its on the site somewhere, but its hidden (on purpose....they dont wanna here from people but are required to have a phone # posted)....pretty sure you can find it here: paypalsucks.com
i think they have it posted right on the front page of that site!!

Thanks guys. And, ha!, I'm actually wondering through paypalsucks.com now as we speak monky LOL.
But here's the deal monkey, you say once I have my bank info added, but the thing is that is my question, it won't let me for some reason. I get an error saying the bank info is wrong.
One more question--> do I actually need to "add a bank" to receive funds through Paypal? I have my credit card registered, and that's how I currently pay people on ebay.
And finally, say I get this all figured out, I get the two small deposits from them, and all is fine and dandy.......do ALL payments made after that take a few days?

yeah, paypalsucks is a REAL eye-opener!! i use paypal, but only because its pretty much a must....i dont agree at all with their practices, and always recommend people check out that site just so they know what CAN happen!!
first, i dont think i can be much help adding your bank info....been a few years since i signed up and dont really remember the process of actually getting your acct info into paypal (just what the verification process was)
i dont think you need to have a bank account at all....it is just useful when withdrawing and depositing funds to paypal....i personally have both a cc and bank account, but only use my cc for security purposes....it is FREE to withdraw funds from your paypal directly to your bank, so thats a big plus (think that is the only FREE way to do so)....you can get a paypal "debit" card, but they charge you when you use it to make withdrawls.
after you get your 2 deposits, and verify everything, payments are instant i guess (not really sure the question)....when someone pays you, you get the money the second they send it (except when they use an e-check....hate them!! they take several days to clear)....so if i bought something from you now, i send the money right now, its in your account immediately!! you can then immediately withdraw that money to your bank account (which takes about 3 business days to show up in your bank account)....so you can have cash in your hand in about 3 days!! again, can get a paypal debit card, and withdraw from an atm right away, but with the fees they charge to begin with, i try and avoid using that at all costs.
hope that helps a bit.....if not, pm me and ill try and be more clear

monkey, thank you very much, that does clear up some things. I'd rather not add a bank account if I don't have to.
Hope I'm not out of line here, but could you send $0.01 to my Paypal to see if it works? I've never received money through PayPal, so it'd be nice to see if it would work without me adding a bank. I'll send you a card or two for your help.
