    Naxcom

I have been turned to Naxcom forever. I just registered today and am amazed at how much better it is than eBay. I like that there are no listing fees, sellers cannot set shipping prices and the wide variety of cards available. Now, here comes my question. What problems have you guys had using it? Let me know about your experiences, because as of right now, I think I'm in love .

    Thanks,

I hate the 12 day hold on funds as a seller. If I send cards out next day, most buyers will receive in 3 shipping days...so why do I have to wait an additional week for my money when the buyer has their cards?

I've always used naxcom and love it. I do hate that 12 day waiting period but you can get the funds the next day if you pay a yearly fee for a gold account for $20 I think. I am extremely excited for their auction feature that will start tomorrow because now there will be a good alternative to ebay for listing cards. Another nice thing about naxcom that I have liked is the fixed shipping rates (which save alot of $ sometimes) and the fact that there are no listing fees. The best part about it though is that I have NEVER been screwed on there. Only once did I have an issue where a seller never sent out and I contacted naxcom and had the full transaction price in my account the next day.

Wow I just re-read what I wrote and I sound like an advertisement lol.

You should have to pay extra to get your money faster...I could understand a 7 day hold from the date of purchase...but 12 is a bit too much...

True, 12 days is a little long to hold money, especially from someone so respected as yourself, Tony.

enigma- I agree with that whole heartedly. I just sold $150 worth of cards over there and sent out the next day, but I won't get paid untill the 14th. That is the only flaw in the system, but hey, for me it still beats ebay because it is alot safer (and because I can't sell on ebay, so the new auction feature on naxcom is going to be amazing for me). Naxcom seems to be set up for buyers and not sellers. The fixed shipping rates, promotions (some days they give out free autographs to every buyer who spends like $20), the fact that sellers are required to send within 3 days of sale, etc. But since I buy more then I sell on naxcom, it evens out for me.

Here are my 2 problems with Naxcom

    1) I avoid selling things on there due to the long wait time to recieve funds
    2) When I want to purchase something there, all the prices are expensive because there is no listing fees, so sellers can just post their own price for their card, and it is usually much more expensive than Ebay, because they know they can just relist it for free if nobody buys.

But I am STOKED about the new auctions on Naxcom, and that should help solve my 2nd problem. I can't wait!

    NAXCOMhelp

We had a few requests to respond to the thread about the New NAXCOM Auctions launching today and the 14 day holding period for sellers.

The site was originally designed so that when a buyer received their item they would check a box and the seller would get paid. Unfortunately two things happened.

    1. Hardly any of the buyers were clicking the received box, and the amount of work involved with seller's requesting us to contact the buyer to confirm receipt was overwhelming.

    2. We had quite a few instances of fraud and users doing fake transactions to take advantage of the payment system.

Because of these two events, we had no other choice but to come up with a set time-period. We do allow our "trusted" sellers to collect earlier. The $20 fee is for VIP Gold and collecting 3-days. However, VIP Bronze is only $6.95/mo (or $59 for the year which is less then $5/mo) and the seller receives payment within 6 days.

There are still protective measures with these programs, however, the point of the Payment Protection system is to create an environment where all users feel safe to buy and sell.

We actually agree with all of you and wish we could have a perfect payout system, but unfortunately, there are too many scrupulous people in this world and a lot of them reside on the Internet and in our industry.

So this is the "best" possible system to have to ensure that all parties are protected.

Thank you and we hope to see you today at 12pm on our New Auctions...looks like it is going to be very exciting.

If you guys want a sneak peak - you can go to www.SportscenterAuctions.com.

It is live to the VIP's and starting at noon, all users will be able to begin listing.

    Thank you - NAXCOM.

The auctions look interesting. Overal naxcom is a great place for the hard-to-find parallel or one last card you need for a set. It's a lot like sportlots. A lot of the better stuff is overpriced though. And a lot of the sellers don't negotiate.
